The Vineyards and the Wine
The vineyards of Domaine Favori are situated on sloping hills, 350 m above sea level. The vines are A.O.C. qualified.
New plantations
During the last 5 years some of the half century old vines have been rooted and new plantations have been made:
In 2002 1 hectare of Syrah and in 2003 on 2,5 hectare Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
In 2004 over 3 hectares were planted with Cinsaut, Mourvèdre and Vermentino and in 2005 2,25 hectare with Syrah and Cinsaut.
In 2006 another 2,5 hectare will be planted with Syrah and Grenache.
Young vines
The new plants are just verly little sticks, planted in nice rows of 2,5 m by 1 m distance, 4000 plants per hectare (see photo).
In the past all grapes from Domaine Favori were vinified in the cooperative in the village of Bras.

In 1999 Hanneke and Hendrik Started to make their own wines from a part of these grapes.
Every year the quantity increased, also because of the purchase of vineyards around Domaine Favori.

For the year 2005 300.000 bottles are planned as well as a large quantity unbottled wines.
The principal varieties are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Cinsaut, Mourvèdre, Carignan (old vines) Ugni Blanc, Syrah and Vermentino.
The harvest starts normally after september the 20th and takes about 3 weeks. In 2004 the French wine specialist Robert Christoph was appointed for the vinification.
The bottling takes place at Domaine Favori.
A large part of the production is destinated for export to The Netherlands, England, Belgium, Scandinavia, Germany, Ghana, Tahiland, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan.
